The Lib Tech Skate Banana BTX 2010 snowboard is back and has already picked up two awards for the 2010 season; Snowboard-Mag 2010 Excellence in Board design and TransWorld Snowboarding 2010 Good Wood Test. For those of you who have not rode a Lib Tech board, this is one you need to try.

The 2010 Lib Tech Skate Banana BTX has the “Banana Tech”, which basically gives you a a ton of control and feel between your feet. This snowboard rides catch-free and is loose even though you will notice that the tip and tail are pretty stiff. I think a lot of the Jib riders are really going to love this board, as the stiff tip and tail are going to make pressing off the boxes and rails a lot easier and then the low spin weight of this Lib Tech board are going to make it a ton of fun.

Overall the Lib Tech Skate Banana BTX is going to make your 2010 season a ton of fun no matter if it is hitting the park, just ripping up the mountain or cruising in the powder as this board can do it all.

The Forum Destroyer Chilly Dog 2010 snowboard is a board that is based off the classic Forum Destroyer with some new tricks up it sleeve. This board is a twin tip freestyle snowboard that has already been rated by Transworld’s Good Wood testers as the top park snowboard for 2010.

The 2010 Forum Destroyer Chilly Dog is all about Forum’s new Continuous Rocker technology, the Continuous Rocker is based off one big circle. This board features one smooth constant arc underfoot making the board stable, predictable and a ton of fun. The Forum Continuous Rocker shape is like other rocker shapes in that it lifts the contact points at the tip and tail up off the snow. By taking the contact points off the snowboard it makes a lot easier for boarders to no worry as much about catching your edge on take-offs or landings.

The Ride DH2 2010 Snowboard is a twin tip FreeStyle snowboard, that is built to be a jibbing machine. The biggest question out there is what is the difference in the Ride DH and the Ride DH2 and I think the easiest explanation is the DH2 is the Ride DH on steroids. The new Ride DH2 is built to take you to the next level without worrying about getting caught up on any tricks or just ripping up the mountain.

The 2010 Ride DH2 Ride’s new technology of the LowRize Rocker and LowRize sidecut is all about giving you that catch-free ride. The LowRise sidecut is going to allow you to make those turns at any speed and not worry about catching an edge. Then to eliminate the hook the LowRize Rocker gives you a flat profile through the center of the board and then begins the rocker at the extended blend zone to lift the contact points just out of the snow.

Overall the Job boarders are going to live this ride, as it is going to help take their ridding to the next level.

The 2010 Rome Cheap Trick 330 bucks. No joke. This is a serious park board with enough pop to satisfy the nastiest of park rats. This year’s Rome Cheap Trick comes with a custom jib-and-flex profile that is built specifically for park riding.

For $330 bucks we should all have the Rome Cheap Trick on our roof rack. Bottom line is that this is a high quality board and very reasonable price. Nice job Rome.

Ride DH 2010

The Ride DH has a become a snowboard ‘classic’, anchoring the Ride line up for several years. The choice of several professional riders, the Ride DH is primarily a freestyle board, and incorporates ‘Pop Stixs’ technology, which gives the board great flex and super pop. A great all mountain board, the DH can handle everything from biggest hits, to the most technical parks.

In addition to ‘Pop Stixs’, the Ride DH also utilizes 85A Slimewalls and Carbori Array 3; Ride signature technologies which are common many their 2019 boards. Normally we’d recommend a board with this much technology for more advanced riders, however the Ride DH is forgiving enough for just about anyone, yet powerful enough for the pros.

The 2010 Rome Artifact 1985 snowboard is a true twin tip Freestyle snowboard made for Jibbing. This is a snowboard that is going to allow you to rip up everything, basically making the whole mountain into your very own park. For those of you who are not familiar with the Rome Artifact 1985, this has been known for years as one of the top top Jibbing snowboards.

The 2010 Rome Artifact 1985 snowboard is made with the Pop Matrix core to not only give you a light weight board, but also one with a smooth and consistent flex throughout.

Being that the Rome Artifact 1985 is known as a Jibbing board the two main features that make it special are Reverse-Jib Camber and the Jib Bevel. The Reverse-Jib Camber is a “flat profile between the feet and 5mm reverse camber from insert to contact point for locked-on rail tricks and buttery, easy-to-press feel”. Then the Jib Bevel a little bit of extra bevel to the edges to minimize hang-ups on rails, ledges and boxes.
