great board although not as good as last years agent 1985, far more serious, and somehow manages to be stiffer, but with no more pop. the camber underfoot is a lot more pronounced in this model, giving unbelievable edge hold. very solid off big jumps, and holds a rail well, and the dampening really works if you land on ice, (maybe it also dampens the pop). this board is amazing, but a bit disappointing after last year’s sheer perfection, a lot more aggressive and less playful, i can’t wait for it to soften up even if it does mean losing the pop. Please Rome remake the 1985 agent it was a masterpiece

Riding Style: All mountain, Park, Jumps, Carving

The Lib Tech TRS C2 BTX is one of the best all mountain freestyle boards. Unlike marketing claims from other companies. The features on TRS are what they say it is. It has a lots of pop, it’s great for carving, jumps. It’s very responsive, magna traction edge hold on hard pack & ice is fantastic. It’s soft enough to butter around and hit the park. You have to try it to believe it!!!

    Salomon Salomonder 2010

Let me just say this board is pretty rad. I had the Salomon Acid last year. That board was dope, but I’m not sure if I dig the reverse camber. The Salomonder is a similar flexing board, but flat camber. I feel like it locks into presses super easy, but the board still has great pop. Its pretty sketchy at high speeds, but it does fine on park jumps. Keep your edges sharp, there’s plenty of bevel to get crazy on the rails and still not hang up.
Flex wise, its stiffer than a K2 WWW, tad softer than a Bataleon Airobic, a bit softer torsionally but the same feel as the Salomon Riot (also an awesome board). In a nutshell, the Salomonder is for someone who rides the park a ton and wants a board that can do any press you throw at it, but without loosing all that pop, and still be able to take it off 20 to 40 foot jumps.

I switched back tot he X and right away my foot got so much better. Is the Vapor and C60 binidng combination too stiff??? any ideas

I just returned from my first day on my new Burton Custom X. To give a little background, this is my second season on a snowboard. I have a custom 158 wide for regular use and a custom 167 wide for powder. I consider myself an intermediate level rider. After reading many reviews, I was uncertain if i was ready for this board. Many go on about how it is unforgiving and you should be an advanced level rider to strap it on. I pulled the trigger anyway and i am glad i did! No doubt, this board is far more responsive and faster than my other boards. If the Custom is the pick up truck of the Burton line-up, the Custom X is a Ferrari. After the first run, i instantly felt like a better rider. My confidence went through the roof. Don,t be intimidated. If you can link turns, and like to carve down the mountain, buy this board! It turns on a dime, and the edge holds on any surface at any speed. It slices through the late afternoon chop like a Samurai Sword. This board will take you to the next level. Go get it!

So i bought this board brand new because it was cheap… bad move i know its not a park board but neither was my 2008 morrow… i eventually had to go back to my old backup board just cause the Burton couldn’t handle much action… within the first few weeks i was riding again, i broke the tail, and it wasn’t because of SEVERE under-rotation, somehow i landed in a tail press doing front flips (which aren’t a problem for me) and now i have this lovely line of missing plastic (or whatever the 1st layer is made of) and butter bumps… also my board has edges that compress in when ever i catch on something, now i have three random bumps of wax on the bottom and edges that are compressed in and are un-useable now im stuck with an old board and my friend is having similar problems with a Burton park specific board ……… Thank you burton for letting me down.

    Riding Style: All Mountain

When buying this board I was kinda low on cash and wanted a cheap and quality ride.

I took it out on the mountain today.. and was impressed.

The board is incredibly forgiving. The flex is amazing. i had to tryyy to lose an edge. not only does the board look clean (simple dark brown top. . nice logo in the middle) but it rides like a dream. I was able to do rails. . jibs. . and even some intense carves. I went from Circle to Diamond. . and the board went with me.

Do yourself a favor and get this board. I think you’ll be pleased.

    Lamar Blazer

So I got this board under somewhat different circumstances. My buddy was moving to California after a job offer and he had only days to liquidate any belongings he didn’t need. So I got the board cheap and fast. Problem was I was new to snowboarding at that time. The Lamar blazer has a wooden core which rather epitomizes the phrase “stiff as a board” since that’s what this board is…..stiff. That being said, if you want speed, this is the board for you, it won’t let you down a bit. However, if you’re a beginner this board is grossly inappropriate. If you’ve not had a lesson or don’t know your way around the slopes and you’re using this board prepare for a sore rear-end and use a mouth guard because you’ll be catching your edges left and right. That brings me to another great point about this board. This board has lots of camber, which means that the adjustments you make on each edge will be reflected a little more underneath the portions of the edges which extend just outside of the lateral sides of each foot. Simply put: sharper edges, sharper turns, lightning fast, ZERO ROOM FOR ERRORS. not for beginners, but great for racing.
