2013 Burton Custom

A new range of 2013 Burton Custom Snowboards is on the horizon.  With names such as the Juice Wagon and the Parkitect, you know that these new models are some of the slickest and sickest snowboards on the market.  There is of course the beloved and favorite line too in the classics such as Custom, Easy livin and the Clash.  These are all still available but why not try something new this year with a 2013 snowboard?

The Juice Wagon is a great addition to the 2013 Burton Custom Snowboard line.  It offers park precision on all natural features which makes it perfect for the riders that are looking for opportunities to ride big in backcountry.  Its directional shape helps to concentrate pop in the tail, powerful turning and poppy precision.  It is manufactured with fiberglass integrated in the topsheet which allows for a versatile response and flex alike so that you can shred everything in your way.  Carbon stringers that radiate energy out from the Channels to the tip and tail add power and snap which help to balance the playful feel of this board.

The Parkitect is a new twist on an already classic design. This 2013 Burton Custom Snowboard  is a twin board with asymmetrical core profiling and camber. The thinned core underneath the bindings is designed to match the average duck stance which allows for more flex and control, which is monument to a snowboarder and can make the difference between great moves and choppy ones.  It is fast, it is predictable and it is a poppy board which all makes it great for boarding in the park.  The Parkitect is not your average snowboard.  If you are ready to go big and are capable of pulling off those awesome front flips than the Parkitect is definitely the board that will help you perform to your max abilities and sick passion slashing through the air and the snow with your great new board and cool moves!

Innovative Technology In The 2013 Burton Snowboards

With winter fast approaching, it’s time to take a serious look at the newly released snowboards for the 2013 season.  Earlier this year, Burton officially launched an exciting triumvirate: their new film, 13, their newly rebuilt website, something Burton prides themselves on doing each year, and their new line of snowboards.

At the core of their triple threat are the 2013 Burton snowboards.  The new Burton snowboards feature new technological innovations that offer snowboarders more riding options.  Among these new modifications is Nug Raduction, a fun and quirky term Burton has come up with to describe a new line of boards that allow riders to use a board up to 10 cm smaller than usual, to achieve a feeling more like skateboarding rather than snowboarding.  They are light on the feet and extremely easy to maneuver.  This is achieved by making the waist of the board a bit wider and then lengthening the side effects on the tip and the tail of the board to have more contact with the snow.  This provides more stability and improves the edge holds of the board.  As part of Nug Raduction innovation in the 2013 Burton snowboards, they’ve placed jumper cables on the tip and tail of the board to add pop for jumping and tricks.   Burton also utilizes what they call the “Squeezebox Core Profile “ which transfers energy to the tip and tail of the board, all while maintaining stability for the rider.

Another innovation of the Burton snowboard is “The Channel.”  The Channel is an artery that runs across the backbone of the board.  It acts as a central connection within the internal technology of the board and allows riders to adjust their stance on the board to almost any angle needed.  The Channel allows riders the flexibility to use almost any kind of bindings of their choosing.  Among the compatible bindings are EST, Union, Flow, and K2.

If you’re looking for cutting edge technology for your snowboarding pleasure this winter, consider the new line of 2013 Burton snowboards.  Burton has gone above and beyond for their 2013 line of products this winter season and they are sure to please riders of all skill levels.

Burton Method 2012

by Joey

Board Model and Year: Burton Method 2012

Board Size: 159

Age: 25

Riding Style: Freeride

2012 has been a great year for the snowboard industry at large. From simple snowboards produced for the market, snowboard manufacturers are putting a huge money for the R&D and that is how Burton did for themselves to create the top of the range 2012 Burton Snowboards.

The Burton Method Snowboard 2012 flex and rider style impression leads to a great amount of flex and response without being too stiff. The construction is unconventional with the latest in aerospace technology. Flying V rocks the overall of the Burton Snowboard with its playfulness and float through pow but with subtle amber zones underneath. While slimrail sidewall is streamlined, edges and base are highly durable to overcome tremendous hard, icy conditions.

Burton Custom X 2012

Board Model and Year: Burton Custom X 2012

Board Size: 152

Age: 25

Riding Style: FreeStyle

I just bought the 2012 Burton Custom X and have already taken a few early season run and this board already seems like it is going to fun.

I was looking around a while for a board and when I read some of the reviews here on some of the older Custom X’s I was impressed with what other boarders liked about them. But I have to say one of the big reasons I really wanted this board was I heard the edges really bite the snow.

Does anyone know how the Custom X does in the Park?

    Burton Custom X 158 Wide

    By:  Steve

Board Model and Year: Burton Custom x

    Board Size: 162cm

    Riding Style: free ride

I just returned from my first day on my new Burton Custom X. To give a little background, this is my second season on a snowboard. I have a custom 158 wide for regular use and a custom 167 wide for powder. I consider myself an intermediate level rider. After reading many reviews, I was uncertain if i was ready for this board. Many go on about how it is unforgiving and you should be an advanced level rider to strap it on. I pulled the trigger anyway and i am glad i did! No doubt, this board is far more responsive and faster than my other boards. If the Custom is the pick up truck of the Burton line-up, the Custom X is a Ferrari. After the first run, i instantly felt like a better rider. My confidence went through the roof. Don,t be intimidated. If you can link turns, and like to carve down the mountain, buy this board! It turns on a dime, and the edge holds on any surface at any speed. It slices through the late afternoon chop like a Samurai Sword. This board will take you to the next level. Go get it!
